Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, headquartered in Lutz, FL, seeks a .NET API Developer to join the Systems Administration team. You will build REST APIs for our Sunshine platform and integrate with external services, working with a cross‑functional team to deliver scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in .NET 8, EF, SQL Server, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure), plus experience with Swagger and modern testing frameworks. This remote role reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, system administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of C# with .NET 8 experience.
• 3–5 years with Entity Framework (EF8+).
• 3–5 years with Microsoft SQL Server.
• 3–5 years with ASP.NET Core Web API.
• 3–5 years with Xunit and Moq.
• 3–5 years in multi‑cloud AWS/Azure environments.
• Understanding of RESTful API development best practices.
• Experience with JavaScript and React for API consumption.
• Experience using Claude Code in a human‑in‑the‑loop workflow.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop API endpoints for the Sunshine CRM platform.
• Develop and maintain backend integrations with 3rd‑party APIs.
• Refactor endpoints and troubleshoot API performance and data access.
• Document API layer using Swagger.
• Monitor workloads and identify improvement opportunities.
