As a company dedicated to providing exceptional logistics services, we are seeking an innovative and skilled API Developer to join our IT team. This role will help enhance the company’s software systems, enabling better integration, automation, and data flow across all operational areas.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced API Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs that will integrate internal and external systems, improve data exchange, and enhance the overall user experience. As part of the IT team, you will play a key role in enhancing our logistics and shipping solutions through seamless software integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• API Design & Development: Design and develop scalable, secure, and efficient APIs to support internal and external system integration needs.
• Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party services and optimize system interactions, including customer-facing platforms, internal tools, and logistics management systems.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of APIs to ensure fast, reliable, and secure data transfers across the system.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive API documentation to ensure ease of use, clear integration guidelines, and ongoing support for developers.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security protocols and ensure API compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, protecting sensitive customer and company data.
• Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of APIs to ensure reliability, functionality, and error-free performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in API development and work to continuously improve and update existing systems, ensuring optimal functionality.

Other Duties:

• Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the IT team, including software developers, database administrators, and network engineers to enhance backend services and integrate new features.
• Project Participation: Actively participate in agile development cycles and sprint planning, ensuring timely completion of API projects.
• Support: Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting API-related issues and assist other teams in API usage, enhancements, and integration.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in API development, with strong proficiency in RESTful API design and integration.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or similar languages commonly used for API development.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and understanding of API management platforms.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, OAuth, and other data exchange and authentication protocols.
• Strong understanding of web services architecture and microservices design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve API issues.
