Job Title: API Developer

Location: Remote

Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2 - [Not open to C2C or 1099]

Salary Range: $115,000–$165,000 Annually

Experience Required: 4+ years

Job Summary Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a API Developer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise software applications and services using the technology stack relevant to the project. The work spans implementation, API and data integration, code quality, release readiness, and production troubleshooting. The successful candidate will apply practical expertise in the primary programming language and framework, APIs, SQL, testing, Git, and CI/CD, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to reliable, maintainable solutions through the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain application components using the approved technology stack.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into maintainable code, APIs, interfaces, or user-facing features.
• Integrate applications with databases, external services, and enterprise systems using appropriate standards.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, debugging, and performance improvement.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and operations teams through release and production support.

Required Qualifications

• Experience Required: typically 4+ years in a related professional role; exact threshold must match the approved requisition.
• Practical experience with the role-specific technology stack: the primary programming language and framework, APIs, SQL, testing, Git, and CI/CD.
• Professional experience building or supporting production software using the core technologies relevant to this role.
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, software design, data structures, and maintainable code.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, data stores, and appropriate testing practices.
• Working knowledge of Git or another source-control system and structured development workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot defects and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional hands-on depth in the primary programming language and framework, APIs, SQL, testing, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with cloud services, automation, and modern delivery practices relevant to the project.
• Familiarity with secure development, accessibility, governance, or regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Relevant professional certifications or advanced training in the role’s technology area.
