Job summary

Apave America Inc. is seeking experienced API 510/570 Inspectors for a 2026 Fall TAR in Hammond, IN. The role focuses on visual examinations of tanks, piping, and vessels to ensure mechanical integrity according to API standards and codes.

You will inspect pipelines, vessels, and tanks, document findings with photographic evidence, and prepare comprehensive reports. Candidates should have 3+ years on 510/570 and relevant NDT certifications; a valid driver's license and background checks are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience with API 510/570 certifications.
• API 653 certification will be considered an asset.
• Certifications in NDT methods (MT/PT/UTT) would be considered an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections of pressure retaining equipment per API 510/570.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
• Assess remaining life and maintenance needs of equipment.
• Supervise NDT methods and interpret results.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, NFPA, OSHA and related standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and maintenance teams to develop inspection schedules.
