Job summary

Apave America Inc. seeks an experienced API 510/570/653 Inspector to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. This on-site, full-time role performs visual inspections of pressure-retaining equipment, ensuring mechanical integrity per API standards and codes.

The Inspector will generate detailed reports, supervise NDT activities, and advise on repairs and maintenance to uphold safety and regulatory compliance. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience with API 510/570/653 certifications.
• Must have API 510 and 570 certifications; 653 is a plus.
• NDT method certifications (MT/PT/UTT) are a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual examinations of pressure retaining equipment (tanks, piping, vessels).
• Perform internal and external inspections per API standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
• Identify risks and assess remaining equipment life for maintenance planning.
• Supervise NDT methods and interpret results.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and contractors on inspection schedules.
