Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to perform therapeutic apheresis procedures and cellular therapy product collections in surrounding hospitals and at our state headquarters.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure safe patient and donor experiences while maintaining rigorous compliance with FDA, HIPAA, AABB, ASFA, and FACT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; 2 years preferred.
• Apheresis experience or related field preferred.
• Experience in critical care, hematology/oncology, and/or dialysis preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and empathy are essential.
• Able to work in demanding, irregular schedules and maintain patient/donor safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled, unscheduled, and emergent Therapeutic Apheresis procedures and cellular therapy collections per SOPs.
• Documents all patient/donor activities in medical records accurately.
• Maintains compliance with FDA, HIPAA, AABB, ASFA, FACT and hospital standards.
• Provided on-call coverage for off-hours as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure safe patient/donor experiences.
• Participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
