THE WORK

• As a Continuous Improvement Engineer in the Production Operations APEX office, you’ll be a key catalyst for change, partnering with teams across Operations to identify and implement impactful business improvements. Your role will include:
• Leading and supporting continuous improvement projects across all areas of Operations
• Applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering techniques to reduce waste and enhance processes
• Serving as a business partner to Performance Management Teams (PMTs), guiding them in problem solving, conflict resolution, and alignment with key performance goals
• Performs activities involving the producibility and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: failure analysis, industrial, manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, Lean Six Sigma, test, and tool. Defining project scopes, measuring ROI, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and tracking key metrics
• Motivating and influencing cross-functional teams to drive a culture of excellence
• Supporting communication and change management strategies to ensure project success and long-term sustainability
• Participating in and sometimes leading special initiatives that require a strong foundation in project management and continuous improvement methodologies

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
• Prior work in a production environment
• Demonstrates past experience in project management and leading teams
• Prior experience developing project business cases

Desired Skills

• Demonstrates ability to pull data from various sources, interpret, and develop actionable insights
• Past experience collaborating cross-functionally and working in a team environment
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Competent in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
• Previous knowledge of LM APEX and initiatives and/or Sikorsky Production System
• Experience working with a represented work force
• Understanding of Cost Account Manager (CAM) principles and Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Prior work experience in a continuous improvement role

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
