J & M Property Management is seeking a dependable Construction & Renovation Assistant to join our growing team. The role focuses on carpentry, general construction, and hands-on renovation across multifamily properties and capital projects.

You will work with construction leadership, maintenance staff, and subcontractors to complete apartment renovations, unit turns, and property improvements, while prioritizing quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED, vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and construction experience is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on construction, remodeling, carpentry, apartment maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with drywall, painting, doors, trim, cabinets, flooring, and general construction.

Responsabilités

• Perform and assist with general carpentry and construction work, including framing walls, doors, trim, and finish carpentry.
• Assist with complete apartment renovations and unit turns, including demolition, drywall, painting, and fixture installation.
• Provide hands-on construction support to supervisors and trades on larger renovation and capital projects.
• Maintain an organized, safe jobsite and communicate progress or delays to supervisors.
• Assist with material takeoffs, deliveries, and project close-out activities.
