AIR Communities is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join The Brooke #4 in Atlanta, GA. This on-site role focuses on turning apartments and resolving service requests to ensure resident satisfaction.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of maintenance experience and be proficient in multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). A flexible schedule, reliable transportation, and a commitment to safety are required.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Proficient in at least two trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day weeks as needed.
  • Reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency requests after hours.
  • Comfort with physical activity and moving heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to residents and assist team members.
  • Complete basic apartment turns to prep units for move-ins.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot/repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, etc.
  • May train or guide other maintenance staff and support skill development.
  • May assist with vendor management and move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Work varies with team needs, systems, and seasonal demands.

What You Will Do
  • Provide excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.
  • Follow AIR’s process for completion of basic apartment turns to make the apartment ready for the next resident’s perfect move-in experience
  • With general direction, complete resident requested repairs and routine maintenance (i.e. troubleshoot and repair/replace plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances, etc.)
  • May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support the development of technical skills.
  • May assist with managing vendor qualityand may perform move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset and community needs, mechanical systems, and season.

What You Have
  • At least 2years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment
  • Proficient skills in at least two technical trades(plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Ability to work a flexible scheduleincluding evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
  • A reliable mode of transportationto respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
  • Comfort with physical activityas you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
