Job Overview

Responsible for the overall and day-to-day maintenance of the apartment community under the supervision of the Service Manager or Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform light maintenance on appliances, electrical repairs, plumbing, painting, carpentry, custodial tasks, grounds work, and repairs to concrete, masonry, roof, and fencing.
  • Assist with extermination services and participate in emergency standby schedules.
  • Refurbish apartments before occupancy, maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, and perform scheduled equipment maintenance.
  • Know all water, gas, and fixture cut-offs, assist with apartment inspections, and adhere to Resident Education Program.
  • Maintain property standards and comply with policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; minimum two years of related experience or training in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, refurbishing, cleaning, air conditioning, or appliance repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, perform basic math, and apply common sense to carry out instructions.
  • Physical ability to perform labor, lift up to 50 pounds, and meet vision requirements.
