Job summary

The Fountains Apartments is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in West Des Moines, IA. This full-time on-site position focuses on safe, efficient maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment while delivering strong resident service.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, quick response to issues, inventory control, and adherence to safety and budget guidelines. Monday–Friday 8–5 with rotating on-call every three weeks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and customer-focused approach.
• General computer experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on units, common areas, and equipment.
• Maintain the maintenance shop and property appearance.
• Complete work orders and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and SOPs; manage inventory and supplies.
• Adhere to budget, attendance and inter-department procedures.
• Support other teams and attend required meetings.
