Job summary

Thies & Talle Management, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to service apartment communities in St. Peter and Le Center, MN.

The role covers repair and preventive maintenance of buildings, grounds, and turnover work, with on-call duties and proximity requirements within 50 miles of the sites. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2–3 years in maintenance or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, heating and carpentry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience as general maintenance mechanic preferred.
• Driver’s license required; boiler license or ability to obtain one desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interact with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on apartments and common areas.
• Handle appliance, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Respond to on-call emergencies within a 50‑mile radius of the site.
• Maintain property exteriors, lawns, and landscaping.
• Assist with apartment turnovers and re‑readiness for new occupants.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors as necessary.
