Kay Apartment Communities in Germantown, MD, is seeking a service technician to join our on-site team at a 380-unit community. You will perform maintenance, respond to resident requests, and help prepare apartments for move-in while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include completing repairs of appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance, with on-call duties and weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of apartment maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and HVAC work.
• Experience in apartment turnovers.
• Adhere to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate with residents, guests, visitors and staff.
• Complete all property maintenance work, service requests, turnovers, building inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Service, repair, replace and install items such as stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, disposals, fixtures; toilets, sinks, vanities, faucets, diverters; drains; electrical circuits; light fixtures; doors; flooring.
