Job summary

CAPREIT is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Meridian at Watermark in North Chesterfield, VA. The role requires 1–3 years in apartment maintenance and a valid CFC certification. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks, respond to service requests quickly, and support grounds, upkeep, and move-in readiness.

You must have a driver's license, your own basic tools, and good computer literacy. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• A valid CFC with Type I and II or Universal certification is required.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide your own basic tools.
• Computer literacy skills.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace heating and A/C units, water heaters, appliances, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Respond to service requests in a timely manner and notify the manager if not resolved within 24 hours.
• Assist with grounds, cleaning, painting, and exterior repairs to maintain community appearance.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with move-in prep, preventative maintenance, and inventory of supplies.
• Assist office staff by interacting with residents and vendors professionally.
