Job summary

Village Park Apts in Pleasant Valley, NY is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, make-ready of vacant units, and preventive maintenance across the property. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, conduct inspections, and respond to work orders in a timely manner.

Applicants should have strong customer service and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work weekends or extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Three (3) of the following documented skills are required: plumbing, electrical, HVAC or carpentry.
• Strong customer service, communication and time management abilities are essential.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance repairs and make-ready of apartments.
• Execute preventive maintenance and routine property upkeep.
• Manage work orders and communicate status to supervisor and management.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify deficiencies.
• Assist in snow removal and salting as needed.
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents.
