Job summary

City of Ann Arbor is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician - Housing to maintain and repair apartments and building systems under supervision of the Facilities & Maintenance Manager. You will handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and work orders, working solo or with a team to ensure safe, efficient housing facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience; preferred is 4 years in apartment maintenance and 2 years in basic home

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years multifamily residential or apartment facilities maintenance experience.
• Work experience or training in apartment maintenance or basic home repair.
• Work experience in basic home repair and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to apartments and building systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance and work orders; work individually or in teams.
• Manage and maintain equipment, materials, inventory and stock items, including loading/unloading of inventory.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Two years multifamily residential or apartment facilities maintenance experience

Work experience in apartment maintenance or basic home repair
