Apartment Maintenance Technician ($17/hour) - pays weekly + benefits

Location: Montgomery, AL

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Day shift

Pay Range: $17 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartments, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests from residents and management
• Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Complete apartment turnovers and make-ready work, including painting, patching, and appliance repair
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including trash removal and seasonal upkeep
• Assist with emergency repairs after hours as needed (on-call rotation may apply)
• Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with property regulations

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in residential or apartment settings preferred
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
