Job summary

Winterwood, Inc. is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance and the upkeep of our Flemingsburg, KY area properties.

The role focuses on making-ready repairs, preventive maintenance, and timely response to maintenance requests. The ideal candidate has prior maintenance experience, skills across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC basics, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required; apartment/property maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of general maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, and basic HVAC systems
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders
• Ability to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders promptly and efficiently
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, cleaning, and other make-ready work
• Perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and building systems
• Inspect and maintain assigned buildings and property systems
• Complete preventative maintenance, including furnace filter replacements and unit inspections
• Assist with coordinating outside contractors and vendors
• Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies
• Inspect property grounds and identify needed repairs
• Provide emergency maintenance services as required
• Complete daily property upkeep, including trash pickup
• Document inspections and maintenance activities
• Notify the Property Manager of unusual conditions, damages, or other concerns
• Assist with special projects and other maintenance duties as assigned

Winterwood, Inc. is hiring for the role of Apartment Maintenance Technician. The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and physical appearance of the property.
