Job summary

The Breeden Company is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to handle all aspects of property maintenance, including turns, preventive work, and grounds upkeep. You will ensure safety, appearance, and operation align with company standards and participate in ongoing maintenance plans.

Key duties include responding to resident requests within 48 hours, complying with laws including Fair Housing, and maintaining a positive, professional presence for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience in apartments or similar role is preferred.
• HVAC/CMRP or equivalent certification is advantageous but not required; training provided.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Dexterity and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Available to work on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property including apartment turns, preventive maintenance, asset upkeep, and grounds maintenance.
• Comply with safety policies and applicable laws, including Fair Housing.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests, aiming to complete work orders within 48 hours.
• Participate in ongoing maintenance and improvement plans and asset management.
• Possess necessary tools and be on 24-hour on-call rotation as required.
• Inspect make-ready apartments for move-in quality and company standards.
