Job summary

Independent Management Services is seeking an on-site maintenance professional to complete resident service requests and preventive maintenance tasks across our multifamily communities. You will recondition vacant units, perform basic repairs, and ensure grounds are well-groomed and free of litter.

The role includes after-hours on-call duties and coordination with the Site Manager. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong customer service, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills, with your

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented and able to communicate with residents.
• Working knowledge of basic maintenance concepts (plumbing, repair, etc.).
• Must have own tools to perform job tasks.
• Basic knowledge of commercial/small grounds equipment and supplies.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and projects based on need.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Timely reconditioning of vacant units, including painting, basic repairs, and cleaning.
• Ensure property grounds are well-groomed and free of litter and clutter.
• Maintain grounds free of weeds and overgrowth.
• Respond to after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call duties in rotation.
• Monitor inventory and maintenance supplies as necessary.
• Snow removal on main roads, walkways, and parking areas where applicable.
• Create and maintain a well-groomed community appearance.
