Apartment Maintenance Supervisor

The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor reports to a Property Manager and ensures that apartment homes and community facilities are in good working order and maintained to MAA standards. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the maintenance team to repair and maintain property facilities and apartment units; responding promptly and courteously to service requests; maintaining an adequate supply of market-ready apartments to meet leasing demand; and ensuring property appearance meets or exceeds standards. The Supervisor also assists with hiring, training, and developing maintenance staff, which may include painters and landscaping staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and three to five years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal license required.
• For Florida locations, CAMT license required at hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence required.
• One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.
