Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor to lead and motivate a maintenance team across a multifamily community. You will ensure apartment homes and facilities are in good working order and meet standards, while overseeing timely responses to service requests and keeping units ready for leasing.

The role also involves hiring, training, and developing staff, including painters or landscaping, with a focus on quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal license required.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• 1–3 years of Supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma/GED and 3–5 years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the maintenance team to repair and maintain property facilities and apartment units.
• Provide prompt and courteous responses to service requests.
• Ensure an adequate supply of market-ready apartments to meet leasing demand.
• Maintain property appearance that meets or exceeds standards.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing maintenance staff (may include painters and landscaping).

Primary responsibilities include coordinating the maintenance team to ensure the repair and maintenance of property facilities and apartment units; prompt and courteous responses to service requests; an adequate supply of market ready apartments to meet leasing demand; property appearance which meets or exceeds standards.
