Fairstead is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Boaz, Alabama, responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of properties. You will conduct inspections, perform repairs, and ensure safety across the facilities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills to handle minor repairs and fixtures.
• Knowledge of electricity to diagnose electrical problems and carry out minor repairs.
• General maintenance skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills for effective delivery of information.
• Prior experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift to 70 pounds without assistance.
• Dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and equipment regularly for needed repairs and improvements.
• Perform necessary preventative maintenance and repairs on the property as needed.
• Implement maintenance policies and standards to prevent misuse of property appliances.
• Ensure that properties are safe and avoid any danger to occupants.
• Clean and prepare vacated buildings for new occupants.
• Check electrical wiring for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance problems.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.
