Job summary

IWS Group is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in Aberdeen Township, NJ. The role focuses on completing maintenance requests, preventative tasks, and ensuring apartments and common areas are safe and well-maintained.

You will troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues, perform repairs, prep apartments for new residents, and participate in building grounds upkeep while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment maintenance or general maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartments.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, and general maintenance.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and building exteriors as needed.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls when required.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
