Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team across a multifamily community in Denver. You will oversee repairs and preventive maintenance, ensure timely responses to service requests, and drive property readiness to support leasing goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3–5 years in multifamily maintenance, HVAC experience and EPA license, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required with 3–5 years in multifamily property maintenance or related fields.
• HVAC experience required; EPA Type II or EPA Universal license.
• Florida locations require CAMT license at hire or by next exam.
• Valid driver’s license from resident state is required.
• One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the maintenance team to repair and maintain property facilities and apartments.
• Respond promptly and courteously to service requests; ensure market-ready apartments meet leasing demand.
• Assist with hiring, training, and development of maintenance staff, including painters or landscaping staff.
• Maintain property appearance to meet or exceed standards and support property goals.

Apartment Maintenance Supervisor

The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor reports to a Property Manager and works to ensure apartment homes and facilities for an assigned apartment community are in good working order and maintained to standards for MAA. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the maintenance team to ensure the repair and maintenance of property facilities and apartment units; prompt and courteous responses to service requests; an adequate supply of market ready apartments to meet leasing demand; property appearance which meets or exceeds standards. The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor assists with hiring, training, and developing assigned maintenance staff which may include painters and/or landscaping staff.

High school diploma/GED and three to five years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair required, or an equivalent combination of experience and education HVAC experience required EPA Type II or EPA Universal license required For Florida locations, CAMT license required at time of hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity. Valid driver’s license from the state of residence required. One to three years of Supervisory experience preferred.

The local pay range for this role is $32.82 - $54.15. This is the range at the time of the job posting. The pay offered may be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education, skills, qualifications, certifications, and relevant experience. *Pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.

The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates the maintenance team through repairs and maintenance of property facilities and apartments. Assistant Property Managers support the operations and financial performance. handle the collections process, and assist with leasing. In other words, they wear several hats! An Apartment Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repairs to ensure apartments and facilities are in top shape. A special role for an MAA community, a Leasing Consultant supports leasing operations, interactions and communication with residents, and assists with community events and marketing activities.
