Job summary

RealAmerica Companies in Ft. Wayne, IN is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to provide quality residential maintenance and customer service for tenants at 41 North Apartments and Morada At Maysville Apartments.

This full-time role offers benefits including PTO, health and life insurance, and a 401(k) plan. Responsibilities include completing service requests, preventative maintenance, inspections assistance, snow removal, and upkeeping curb appeal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Designation/Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable private transportation.
• Two years maintenance/repair of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and grounds maintenance in multi-family housing.
• Furnish own hand tools to perform normal maintenance repairs.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within a timely manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance as outlined by Property Manager and the Unit Inspection policy.
• Assist Property Managers with inspections when necessary.
• Assist management with any other duty that is requested.
• Pick up any trash seen on properties daily.
• Sweep curbs as requested.
• Assist with snow removal as needed.
• Maintain property curb appeal to include lawn care, curbs, sidewalks, parking lots and open breezeways.
• Other duties as assigned
