Smart City is looking for our next great human.

People are moving to Nashville every day, and apartment hunting is a nightmare—47 open tabs, unanswered phone calls, and "special move-in pricing" on an apartment's website with zero additional context. We remove the complexity and mystery of the apartment hunting process for our clients, and we need more humans to help us do it.

How it works: Our marketing and CX teams bring in the leads (check us out @smartcitynashville on Instagram and TikTok). You chat with renters, learn what they actually want, tour apartments all over Nashville with them, and lease them at their next place.

Client pays rent → the apartment complex pays you → our service remains free to the client. Win/Win/Win.

What you'll actually do:

• Manage the client relationship from "help, I need an apartment" to lease signed
• Chat with clients via text, phone, and email (you're their go-to person)
• Build hyper-personalized apartment lists based on what they actually care about
• Tour properties, work with leasing agent partners, get people into places they love

People who succeed in this role are:

• Empathetic, social, a little bit of a hype person
• Self-driven and goal-oriented — you like winning
• Can laugh at yourself when things go sideways (they will, occasionally)
• Organized in your own way, a follow-up whiz, persistent (in an endearing way)

Compensation :

This role is commission-based. Full-time agents averaging 8-12 leased clients/month land between $70K–$100K+ per year. Top performers clear $100K+.

What you'll need:

• Willingness to complete your Tennessee Real Estate License coursework within 4 weeks of your offer (we'll walk you through it)
• A laptop (MacBook strongly encouraged) — you're reachable and searching on the go
• An iPhone (our custom CRM's mobile app is iOS-only)
• Comfort with local travel around Nashville for tours
