Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Ventura County seeks a Facilities Maintenance Tech to support affordable residential housing communities across Oxnard, Santa Paula, Simi Valley and Piru. This hands-on role keeps apartments and building systems safe, functional, and well maintained, with a team‑oriented environment and weekday hours.

You’ll perform plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and basic repairs; inspect spaces daily; respond to after‑hours requests; coordinate with managers

Qualifications

• General maintenance across apartment properties including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting and carpentry.
• Experience maintaining building systems and safety standards is preferred.
• Ability to respond to after-hours maintenance requests and document work performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general apartment and property maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and basic building repairs.
• Complete repairs and turnover work in vacant apartments to prepare units for occupancy in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct daily inspections of exterior areas, common areas, community rooms, offices, storage rooms, electrical rooms, landscaping, and parking areas.
• Respond to emergency after-hours maintenance requests and help ensure resident safety, including review of lighting and security-related maintenance issues.
• Maintain maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, work order records, apartment maintenance files, and tracking logs.
• Coordinate with resident managers, property supervisors, and vendors to complete repairs, obtain quotes, and follow through on assigned work.
