Job summary

Arclin is seeking a Regional Trade & Compliance Manager for Asia Pacific. This role leads day-to-day import/export compliance, translating global trade regulations into practical actions across customs, export controls, sanctions, and trade programs.

The position reports to the Director, Global Trade Strategy & Compliance and requires 7+ years in trade compliance within manufacturing contexts, with strong analytical and cross-functional leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, Legal Studies, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of import compliance, export controls, customs valuation, classification, origin, sanctions, and licensing requirements.
• Regional language requirements (AP: Chinese, English; upside for others)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily import and export compliance activities across the assigned region.
• Ensure accurate trade documentation, customs declarations, export filings, classification, origin, valuation, and regulatory data.
• Manage export licensing, denied party screening, sanctions compliance, embargo controls, and technology transfer requirements.
• Monitor changing trade regulations across the region and assess impacts to products, customers, supply chains, costs, and operations.
• Resolve customs clearance issues, shipment delays, regulatory inquiries, and compliance-related disruptions.
• Manage and audit customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other third-party trade service providers.
• Partner with Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, and external providers.
• Support government agency inquiries, audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and trade optimization opportunities.
• Conduct training, risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining Arclin ownership of compliance decisions and controls.
