Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager in San Francisco to build and scale our accounting operations for a high-growth AI technology startup. This hands-on role focuses on end-to-end P2P, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance and business leaders.

You will lead vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and automation initiatives, support month-end close and reporting, and grow an AP team as the organization scales; startup environment requires

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience within startup, hypergrowth, or public company environments.
• Background supporting technology, SaaS, AI, or other high-growth industries.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit compliance, and AP best practices.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Proven ability to improve processes and scale operations.
• Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
• Develop and enhance AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Manage vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payment operations.
• Partner with Finance and business leaders to improve purchasing workflows.
• Support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and audit requests.
• Drive automation, process improvements, and system optimization initiatives.
• Assist with cash flow management and reporting.
• Build and lead an Accounts Payable team as the organization grows.
