Job summary

Breakaway Prep LLC is seeking an experienced Economics tutor for part-time, in-person sessions with students in grades 7–12 in New Jersey. You will tutor Honors Economics and AP Economics, focusing on building student confidence and measurable progress.

We offer a supportive environment, flexible hours, and the opportunity to set your own schedule, with compensation starting at $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience tutoring Economics (Honors or AP level strongly preferred)
• Has reliable transportation
• Passion for teaching middle and high school students and strong social skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Multiple positive references
• Experience with AP Economics curriculum and AP exam preparation preferred
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one Economics tutoring to middle and high school students.
• Tutor Honors Economics and AP Economics with engaging, motivating instruction.
• Help students build confidence and achieve measurable academic progress.
• Set your own schedule for tutoring sessions and manage calendars.
