Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an experienced AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist for a full-time, on-site role at the Coppell laboratory with travel to hospital-based laboratories across Texas. This position requires working across multiple sites and providing comprehensive pathology coverage.

The role includes diagnostic sign-out of surgical pathology, cytology, and gross examinations, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with clinicians and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board Certification in AP/CP.
• License in applicable state(s) or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of three years of pathology experience in a community hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with surgical pathology, frozen sections, and cytology.
• Cytopathology or gynecologic pathology subspecialty is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout Texas and support regional hospital coverage.
• On-site laboratory responsibilities with travel-based hospital coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic interpretation and sign-out of surgical pathology, frozen section pathology, and/or cytology specimens.
• Provide pathology coverage for hospital-based laboratories throughout Texas, with flexibility for regional coverage.
• Perform gross examination of surgical tissues as needed.
• Consult with physicians and clients regarding pathology findings and test utilization.
• Provide diagnostic information to treating physicians through accurate pathology reporting.
• Participate in laboratory quality control, QA, and infection control initiatives.
• Engage in proficiency testing, departmental meetings, and quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with leadership, pathology staff, and hospital personnel to ensure seamless pathology services across sites.
• Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and state/federal regulations.
• Complete additional responsibilities as needed.
