Britt Medical Search is seeking a BC AP/CP Pathologist to join an established, independent practice in Bakersfield, CA. This full-time role offers varied surgical and clinical pathology work within a high-volume, multi-hospital setting and a collaborative group of experienced pathologists.

The position includes serving four local hospitals and collaborating with five pathologists, with board certification in AP and CP required and California licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology is required.
• California medical licensure or eligibility is required.
• Two to four years of practice experience is a plus.
• Fellowship training in cytopathology, breast, GI, gynecologic or another surgical pathology subspecialty is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a broad range of anatomic pathology specimens.
• Consult with referring physicians about the significance of laboratory findings.

Position Highlights

• Based in a professional laboratory setting providing pathology services to four local hospitals.
• Work alongside five pathologists, combining independent diagnostic decision-making with daily collaboration.
• Evaluate a broad range of anatomic pathology specimens and consult with referring physicians about the significance of laboratory findings.
• A varied caseload suited to a pathologist comfortable with complex surgical cases and multiple hospital settings.
• Board certification in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology is required; California medical licensure or eligibility is required.
• Two to four years of practice experience is a plus. Fellowship training in cytopathology, breast, GI, gynecologic or another surgical pathology subspecialty is highly desirable.
