Job summary

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is looking for experienced AP Computer Science instructors to provide online tutoring for students in grades 9-12. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience, and strong communication skills. The role is contract-based, offering $30-$35 per hour, with flexible hours mainly scheduled in the evenings and weekends. This is a fully remote position.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience teaching or tutoring College Board’s AP Computer Science program.
• Availability for 3-12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide AP Test Prep tutoring to students in grades 9-12.
• Conduct tutoring sessions lasting 60-90 minutes.
• Schedule tutoring sessions between 2 PM and 8 PM PST during the week.

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Computer Science instructors to work with students in grades 9‑12.

Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored these specific AP courses in the past.

Position

• Provide AP Test Prep tutoring to students in grades 9‑12
• Tutoring assignments are 60‑90 minutes
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
• Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 2 PM and 8 PM PST during the week and between 10 AM and 4 PM on weekend days

Requirements

• 2 years of experience teaching or tutoring College Board’s AP Computer Science program
• 3‑12 hours per week of availability
• Earned Bachelor’s degree
• Exceptionally strong communication skills
