Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• At least three years professional experience with accounting and bookkeeping history (AP/AR).
• Knowledge of sales and tax laws and regulations including 1099 tax reporting.
• Knowledge of purchasing/payables and receiving cycles within an ERP environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily deposits and application of cash to customer accounts.
• Communicate with customers on collection issues and identify root causes to improve cash flow cycle.
• Process credit memos, as needed.
• Report on accounts receivable aging on a weekly basis to management.
• Follow procedures for approval of vendor invoices and monitor payments.
• Determine payment schedules for vendors based upon terms and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state record retention for payables/receivables and tax returns.
• Manage 1099 reporting and annual filings.
• Establish procedures to ensure compliance with Wisconsin tax laws.
• Process expense reports and credit card statements for payment.
