Job summary

MERS / Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic AP Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will handle vendor invoicing, maintain ledgers, and support mission-driven goals.

The position is hourly, full-time, with a rate of $23.00 to $25.00 per hour; requires a Bachelor's in Accountancy, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy required.
• Experience with General Ledger accounting required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Invoice preparation and completing the vendor invoice package within 2 business days.
• Must ensure that all agency policies and procedures are followed.
• Coordinates, prepares, and verifies supporting documentation to ensure accurate /timely invoice package preparation and general ledger recording.
• Input vendor invoices in accounting software.
• Serves as liaison between MERS/Missouri Goodwill and vendors.
• General ledger maintenance and aids with month end closing.
• Performs monthly aging review with Accounts Payable Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
