The Agency of Transportation (AOT) has an exciting opportunity in the Construction & Materials Bureau for two Technical Apprentices. These positions will serve as a Lab Apprentice and Courier. The Courier duties include traveling in a state-owned fleet vehicle to collect samples from projects and returning them to our central lab in Berlin. The Lab Apprentice duties involve assisting in multiple labs across the state, supporting the Lab Technician with testing and related tasks. Both positions are based in Berlin, VT and encompass the responsibilities outlined above.
These are temporary positions with flexible start and end dates, potentially extending through December. Candidates are expected to work approximately 40 hours per week, with some occasional overtime. The schedule offers flexibility to accommodate personal needs.
