Job summary

Randstad USA in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an AOI Test Operator/Programmer to develop and optimize AOI programs for PCB testing. You will set up Vitrox V510 equipment, run electrical tests, document results, and ensure high quality while supporting fast-paced production schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma and about 2 years of AOI programming experience, with the ability to read technical instructions, follow procedures, and communicate well with team members.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in writing AOI Test Programs
• Ability to read and understand technical work instructions

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Learn new PCB software as required

Responsibilities

• Write AOI programs using Vitrox software and perform AOI testing
• Promptly complete testing tasks and document in a timely manner
• Set-up and operate the testing machine/Vitrox V510 to perform electrical testing on PCB to ensure that there are no defects
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Write program/fine tune and debug before release to production
• Inform Managers of any potential problems
• Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors
• Be punctual and maintain good attendance
• Other duties as assigned

A leading Silicon Valley-based manufacturer of high-quality printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies is seeking an AOI Test Operator/Programmer to join its team.

This established company specializes in quick-turn, complex PCB prototypes and production, serving industries including aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and telecommunications.

Position Summary The AOI Test Operator/Programmer will be responsible for creating and optimizing AOI programs, fine-tuning inspection processes, and testing/debugging circuit boards to ensure quality and accuracy.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

salary: $46,000 - $57,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Write AOI programs using VITROX software and perform AOI testing.
• Promptly complete testing tasks and document in a timely manner.
• Set-up and operate the testing machine/Vitrox V510 to perform electrical testing on PCB to ensure that there are no defects (shorts, opens, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Write program/fine tune and debug before release to production.
• Inform Managers of any potential problems.
• Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.
• Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 2 years' experience in writing AOI Test Programs.
• Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all times.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software (ProCim).

Environment

Primarily works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to deduction equipment. PCBA Manufacturing. Climate-controlled manufacturing area with exposure to laser equipment and fine particulates. Must use PPE, including safety glasses and gloves as required. Regular standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
