Job summary

Jet Excellence in Sanford, NC seeks an experienced AOG Technician to provide rapid-response maintenance for aircraft grounded by unscheduled issues, helping minimize downtime and ensure a safe return-to-service.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical discrepancies under time-critical conditions, coordinate with Maintenance Control, vendors and parts suppliers, document all actions for FAA compliance, and support after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• 3+ years in aircraft maintenance, AOG/field service preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to AOG situations locally or remotely, including travel to aircraft locations as needed.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical discrepancies under time-critical conditions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control, vendors, and parts suppliers to expedite repairs.
• Ensure all maintenance actions comply with FAA regulations and company procedures.
• Accurately document all maintenance performed, including corrective actions and return-to-service approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to flight crews and operations during AOG events.
• Maintain readiness of tools, parts kits, and travel documentation for rapid deployment.
• Support after-hours and on-call rotations.
