Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking a dedicated Inventory/Purchasing professional to support 24/7 AOG operations. You will source and procure parts for Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo, ensuring rapid fulfillment and compliance with vendor terms.

Strong coordination with MCC and line stations is essential to maintain aircraft readiness. The role requires a BS/BA in a related field and 2+ years in purchasing or inventory planning, with airline or military aviation experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience in a supply chain, business, or related technical area required
  • 2+ years purchasing or inventory planning experience; 1+ years AOG in airline or military setting preferred
  • Airline or military aviation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time solutions for aircraft material requisitions including AOG, line maintenance, and spares replenishment
  • Research inventory listings and responses to sources for quality parts
  • Fulfill requisitions within 4 hours
  • Ensure TRAX transactions for loans, borrows, and AOG functions are completed
  • Update aircraft maintenance deferrals with accurate information for the supply chain
  • Track critical parts, grounding items, and deferred maintenance requirements
  • Coordinate with MCC and line stations for timely parts handling
  • Understand and enforce vendor contract terms
  • Conduct invoice reviews and secure purchasing approvals
  • Review aircraft listings and managed aircraft guidelines

Position Summary

Provide critical aircraft parts support on 24/7 basis for out of service aircraft for Atlas Air and under contract, Polar Air Cargo. As a team member, sources and buys parts against aircraft on ground, critical, and other discrete requisition types supported by the AOG desk.

Major Job Accountabilities
  • Provide real time solutions for all aircraft material requisitions including but not limited to Aircraft On Ground (AOG), line maintenance, flight spares kit (FSK) replenishment, non-routine scheduled maintenance, action plans, and other requisitions as requested
  • Research inventory listings and responses to calls for parts to source effective and quality parts
  • Ensure all requisitions are fulfilled within 4 hours
  • Ensure all transactions in TRAX are completed for loans, borrows and other AOG functions
  • Updates aircraft maintenance deferrals with accurate and updated information pertinent to the technical supply chain
  • Track and plan for critical parts, including grounding items, inventory that is below allocation, and deferred maintenance requirements
  • Liaises with Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and line stations to provide timely and accurate handling of parts/material requests
  • Understand and enforce contractual terms in vendor agreements
  • Responsible for conducting invoice reviews and securing purchasing approvals
  • Review aircraft listings and general guide lines for managed aircrafts
  • Supports an environment that encourages communication and collaboration escalating important information or concerns on a timely basis
  • Perform additional duties assigned by Manager or Director as required
Qualifications
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience in a supply chain, business, or related technical area required
  • 2+ years purchasing or inventory planning required including 1+ years of AOG experience within airline industry or military equivalent preferred.
  • Airline or Military Aviation experience is a plus
Special Demands
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and off site locations on temporary or permanent basis as needs of business dictates.

  • Excellent communication skills is an a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning systems required; experience in TRAX preferred

Pay Range
$54,375 - $73,125 USD
