Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide in the United States is seeking a Materials Support Specialist to provide critical aircraft parts support on a 24/7 basis for Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo. As a team member, you will source and purchase parts for aircraft on ground and other requisitions.

As part of the team, you will source and purchase parts for aircraft on ground, coordinate with MCC and line stations, and ensure requisitions are fulfilled quickly and accurately.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent experience in a supply chain, business, or related technical area required.
• 2+ years purchasing or inventory planning required including 1+ years of AOG experience within airline industry or military equivalent preferred.
• Airline or Military Aviation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide real time solutions for all aircraft material requisitions including AOG, line maintenance, FSK replenishment, non-routine maintenance, and other requisitions.
• Research inventory listings and responses to calls for parts to source effective and quality parts.
• Ensure all requisitions are fulfilled within 4 hours.
• Ensure all transactions in TRAX are completed for loans, borrows and other AOG functions.
• Update aircraft maintenance deferrals with accurate information for the technical supply chain.
• Track and plan for critical parts, including grounding items and deferred maintenance requirements.
• Liaise with MCC and line stations to provide timely handling of parts/material requests.
• Understand and enforce contractual terms in vendor agreements.
• Responsible for conducting invoice reviews and securing purchasing approvals.
• Review aircraft listings and general guidelines for managed aircrafts.
• Support an environment of open communication and escalate important information promptly.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Manager or Director as required.

Position Summary:

Provide critical aircraft parts support on 24/7 basis for out of service aircraft for Atlas Air and under contract, Polar Air Cargo. As a team member, sources and buys parts against aircraft on ground, critical, and other discrete requisition types supported by the AOG desk.

Major Job Accountabilities:

• Provide real time solutions for all aircraft material requisitions including but not limited to Aircraft On Ground (AOG), line maintenance, flight spares kit (FSK) replenishment, non-routine scheduled maintenance, action plans, and other requisitions as requested
• Research inventory listings and responses to calls for parts to source effective and quality parts
• Ensure all requisitions are fulfilled within 4 hours
• Ensure all transactions in TRAX are completed for loans, borrows and other AOG functions
• Updates aircraft maintenance deferrals with accurate and updated information pertinent to the technical supply chain
• Track and plan for critical parts, including grounding items, inventory that is below allocation, and deferred maintenance requirements
• Liaises with Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and line stations to provide timely and accurate handling of parts/material requests
• Understand and enforce contractual terms in vendor agreements
• Responsible for conducting invoice reviews and securing purchasing approvals
• Review aircraft listings and general guide lines for managed aircrafts
• Supports an environment that encourages communication and collaboration escalating important information or concerns on a timely basis
• Perform additional duties assigned by Manager or Director as required

Qualifications:

• BS/BA or equivalent experience in a supply chain, business, or related technical area required
• 2+ years purchasing or inventory planning required including 1+ years of AOG experience within airline industry or military equivalent preferred.
• Airline or Military Aviation experience is a plus

Special Demands:

• Must be able to work nights, weekends and off site locations on temporary or permanent basis as needs of business dictates.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning systems required; experience in TRAX preferred

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range

• $54,375 - $73,125 USD
