Are you a top-tier A&P certified mechanic who thrives on a challenge? Strategic Support Solutions is looking for a skilled and decisive Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Mechanic to be the go-to expert for critical, time-sensitive maintenance at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

This isn't your average 9-to-5. You'll be the hero who gets high-end corporate and private jets back in the air, working a unique 7 days on, 7 days off schedule that gives you your life back. If you are a problem-solver with a passion for aviation and a deep knowledge of corporate aircraft, we want to talk to you.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Master of Your Craft: Work on a variety of airframes, including Bombardier (Challenger, Global), Embraer (Phenom 300, Praetor/Legacy), Gulfstream, Cessna (Lattitude), Falcon, Learjet, and Hawker.
  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Execute a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and servicing to complex avionics troubleshooting and FAA-approved repairs.
  • Own Your Work: Read and interpret technical manuals to solve complex issues, accurately complete all work orders, and maintain a clean and organized shop environment.

What You Bring to the Table:

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a professional attitude.

Must-Have Experience:

  • Valid A&P Certificate.
  • A minimum of 3 years of general aviation maintenance experience(To qualify for the standard $45–$52/hr wage bracket).
    • Note: Stellar candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience—or a minimum of 2 years consisting strictly of dedicated AOG work—will be considered on an individual review basis at an adjusted starting wage.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Bombardier (Challenger, Global), Embraer (Phenom, Praetor/Legacy), or Cessna Lattitude.
  • Hands-on experience with Garmin 3000 and/or 5000 avionics suites.

Core Skills & Character:

  • A Natural Problem-Solver: You can read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts catalogs to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Grace Under Pressure: You perform high-quality work efficiently and safely, even in short-notice, high-pressure AOG situations.
  • Professional & Collaborative: You communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, leadership, and customers, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Independent & Reliable: You are a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision and can be counted on to get the job done right.
  • Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using computers and have experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Apple products.
