Job summary

Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC is seeking a security operations associate to monitor CCTV, access controls, and alarms to help safeguard airport facilities, employees, and visitors.

You will follow SOPs, coordinate with Aerostar Security Officers and contractors, and report incidents. Bilingual in Spanish and English is required; an Associates Degree and at least one year of related experience are expected.

Responsibilities

Job description

This position is responsible for monitoring the security and surveillance systems to assist in managing the overall security of the airport facilities to include employees, visitors, and security personnel to avoid any act of unlawful activities. Manages the collection and dissemination of information related to emergencies, security violations and other issues. Assists in monitoring the use of authorized privileges and facilities in compliance with policies, practices, and regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Follow all Standard Operations Procedures or protocols established by the Security Department for the AOCC Security Operations in accordance with rules and regulations established by the Federal Government.
• Monitors security electronic systems, doors, fire alarms, cameras among others to avoid any emergency or security breaches. unlawful interference.
• Maintains direct and effective communication with external or internal personnel related to law enforcement, maintenance, operations, medical emergencies among others.
• Coordinate with Aerostar Security Officers, Aerostar Security Lead’s and/or Contracted Security Company for official business purposes accesses to the secure and sterile areas.
• Identifies the improper use of the access privileges assigned to SIDA access cards, staff, employee and sub-contractors.
• Prepares and provides incident reports upon request from authorized personnel on a daily basis.
• Maintains a log for all incidents, service requests, emergencies or incidences calls received at AOCC form employees, visitors, State or Federal agencies, airport community and outside the airport calls. Coordinate and activate the proper resources to respond and resolve each situation.
• Assists with troubleshooting and identify communications problems in panels systems with cameras, alarms doors and readers.
• Perform a daily audit of the CCTV System and the Control Access System (Continuum), in the designated format and send a report to the intended management personnel.
• Participates in meetings, trainings and orientations.
• Support any other events, incidents and or emergencies that interfere or interrupt any security measures established at the airport.
• Execute any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification Requirements:

• Associates Degree.
• The position requires one (1) year of related experience or costumer service experience or a combination of education and experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Language skills in Spanish and English. Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos, write correspondence in Spanish and English, present basic information to one person or small group and other Company employees. Basic knowledge in computer system and programs.
• Ability, knowledge and skills to communicate by radio, use technical equipment and personal protection, tools to perform his/her job, and drive motor vehicles.
• Arithmetic abilities, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all unit measures.
