To be considered, you must be a high-energy self-starter, have an extroverted personality, be a good motivator/coach, and enjoy sales, marketing, and building a positive club culture. Club Managers are responsible for managing daily tasks, welcoming guests and members, selling memberships and training services, and leading staff to work cohesively. This role requires self-motivation, leadership, collaboration, communication, and positive influence.

Important: If you are uncomfortable with sales or calling strangers to invite them to the club, this position may not be suitable for you.

Requirements:

A good candidate will enjoy working in a health club environment, have a friendly, outgoing personality, and genuinely care about helping others.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Membership Sales — Membership and training sales are central to the club manager role. Managers must qualify, inform, inspire, and convert leads into members using our proven system that helps guests overcome barriers to starting a fitness program. Remember, you are hired to inspire, not just sell.

Club Promotional Marketing — When you love your gym, others will too. The Club Manager builds relationships with local businesses and influencers for B2B marketing, coordinates engagement and community outreach campaigns, and leverages social media and creative marketing strategies to promote the brand.

Community Involvement — We actively participate in local events and organizations, even if it means working on weekends, to promote our business and strengthen community ties.

Networking / Employee Wellness — We collaborate with local and national employers and insurance companies to promote healthier lifestyles, seeking solutions that benefit everyone.

Team Building — Leading and motivating a team of trainers and staff to create a positive, trusting environment is crucial for success.

Member Experience — Creating an exceptional environment that inspires members to share their positive experiences is vital. Providing top-notch customer service and fostering a motivating atmosphere are key responsibilities.

Operations — Ensuring the club is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times, following safety procedures, and managing equipment functionality are essential duties.

Staffed Hours: Hours may vary seasonally and with scheduled events. Availability on Saturdays during peak season is required.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma minimum
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an exercise-related field is highly preferred
  • Sales experience preferred or willingness to learn sales skills
  • Management experience is a plus
  • Friendly, outgoing, coachable personality
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs

This full-time position offers a competitive base salary plus unlimited sales commissions and bonuses. The role reports to the District Manager.
