• Sound understanding of antitrust principles and the evolving competition law enforcement landscape.
• Experience dealing with federal or state courts and/or the DOJ and FTC preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials, with outstanding analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil antitrust disputes, including complex litigation.
• Assist with investigations and enforcement proceedings conducted by the DOJ and FTC.
• Manage litigation tasks including discovery, deposition preparation, motion drafting, and case strategy.
• Advise clients on competition law matters, including anticompetitive conduct, collaborations, distributions, and mergers.
• Support internal investigations, merger reviews, and other regulatory antitrust matters.
• Conduct legal research, prepare written advocacy, and assist with matters before state and federal courts.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and clients on challenging matters, taking ownership of assignments and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The Washington, DC office of an elite international law firm is seeking an associate to join its nationally recognized Antitrust & Competition practice group. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated antitrust matters at a leading law firm, representing major clients in complex litigation, investigations, and competition law matters. The firm is also open to considering candidates based in New York. Attorneys with 2-8+ years of experience are encouraged to apply, with counsel-level candidates also being considered.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil antitrust disputes, including complex litigation involving significant commercial and regulatory issues.
• Assist with investigations and enforcement proceedings conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission.
• Manage litigation tasks including discovery, deposition preparation, motion drafting, and development of case strategy.
• Advise clients on competition law matters, including potential anticompetitive conduct, competitor collaborations, distribution arrangements, and merger-related issues.
• Support internal investigations, merger reviews, and other regulatory matters involving antitrust considerations.
• Conduct legal research, prepare written advocacy, and assist with matters before state and federal courts.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and clients on challenging matters, taking ownership of assignments and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Competitive base salary: $245,000-$550,000 annually, based on class year (counsel-level also being considered).
