The Andover Public Schools is seeking academic tutors to support math, English, science, and social studies for students who cannot attend school on a short-term or long-term basis. Materials and lesson objectives will be provided by classroom teachers.
The tutor will coordinate tutoring times with the parent, track attendance and participation, and communicate with teachers to receive and deliver student work.
The Andover Public Schools is seeking academic tutors to provide support for math, English, science, and social studies coursework for student(s) who are not able to attend school on a short-term or long-term basis. Materials and lesson and work objectives/outcomes will be provided by classroom teachers.
The tutor will be responsible for coordinating/scheduling tutoring times with the parent, and for tracking the student’s attendance and participation. Tutoring services will be limited to up to 2/hrs per day for up to 5 days/week, OR can be scheduled up to 10hrs/weekly but not intended to include weekends, holidays, or vacations.
The tutor will also be responsible for communication with the student’s teachers for receiving and/or delivering student work.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in education or relative experience providing remote instructional support to students.
