Overview

Position: Reading Specialist (Job ID 5074). Location: Districtwide. Date Posted: 6/16/2026. Date Available: 09/01/2026.

Responsibilities

Successful candidate will have experience administering and scoring standardized reading assessments, consulting with teachers, offering professional development, supporting Response to Intervention, participating in the I&R process which includes assessing students and creating plans for students, attending meetings, and providing Tier 3 services with identified students.

Qualifications

• NJ Elementary Education Certification K‑5.
• Reading Specialist Certification preferred.
• Wilson or Orton Gillingham Certification preferred.

Experience

3–5 years of elementary classroom teaching experience preferred.

Terms of Employment

Base Salary: $67,380.00 – $108,300.00. Employment Period: Ten (10) months. Union Affiliation: SBEA.
