Job summary

Dover Public Schools in Morris County invites applications for the Paraprofessional position to support Pre-K through 12 students. You will provide individual or small-group instructional support and assist with classroom management to help students achieve reading, writing, and mathematics readiness.

The role is 5.5 hours per day (with a 1/2 day including an unpaid lunch), anticipated as a long-term substitute for the 2026-2027 school year, district-wide.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher learning.
• An associate's (or higher) degree.
• Meeting a rigorous standard of quality that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction or reading, writing, and mathematics readiness (ParaPro).

$125 per day

The responsibilities of aides may include the following:

• Providing individual or small-group instructional support for students
• Assisting with classroom management

Qualifications:

• Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher learning; or
• An associate's (or higher) degree; or
• Meeting a rigorous standard of quality that demonstrates, through a formal assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction or reading, writing, and mathematics readiness
• (passing of the ETS ParaPro Assessment).

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
