The Newark Central School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute AIS Math Teacher for elementary grades to cover a maternity leave, effective on or about November 2, 2026, with end date TBD. The teacher will deliver instruction aligned to NYS learning standards, differentiate for students with IEPs, maintain student progress records, and communicate regularly with families and Newark staff.
All candidates must have NYS Teacher Certification; fingerprint clearance via TEACH is required;

The Long-Term Substitute Teacher Position is responsible for instruction to their assigned students, follow New York State Learning Standards, build a positive learning environment, attend to student accountability, maintain accurate and reliable records of student progress, and maintain regular communication and outreach to students’ families.

Knowledge of curriculum and the instructional practices. Operate in a respectful, responsible manner.
