Job Grade: 14 FLSA Status: Exempt 10-MONTH
NATURE OF POSITION: Responsible for providing learning experiences in the field of technology or information systems classroom and supervision of students in a supportive and positive climate that develops in each student the skills, attitudes, and knowledge of school standards and expectations. Achieving academic excellence may require that the Technology Teacher work collaboratively with other members of the school faculty, staff and with parents.
REPORTS TO: Principal.
Duties may include any of the following:
POSITION ANALYSIS: This position requires a mature, detail-oriented individual with above average keyboard skills, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as work independently. The person should possess an overall knowledge of school operations. Position requires knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning. This position also requires the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information literacy, visual and audio presentations, communication, and troubleshooting skills. Cordial and effective communication with priests, parents, students, and faculty, vendors, committee members, officers of church councils and Diocesan office personnel is an ongoing necessity. This person should be a self-starter, capable of independent problem solving and decision-making within the scope of authority provided.
